About the program

Join the A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) and the Costa Rica Osteopathic Medical Association (CROMA) at a continuing medical education program to be held in Tamarindo, Costa Rica.

Objectives

This program will offer information and insight into caring for patients who present with common clinical disorders seen in this limited resource setting. Faculty members who are both academically and clinically oriented will deliver all sessions. Topics to be delivered include dermatology, rheumatology, osteopathic manipulative medicine and infectious disease. The program has been planned to offer a maximum educational offering combined with ample time for relaxation and enjoyment. At the conclusion of this program, attendees should be able to: • Identify, diagnose and manage common clinical problems seen in this limited resource setting. • Discuss diagnosis and management of skin diseases in this limited resource area. • Identify the role of the primary care physician in treatment of various infectious diseases. • Summarize information on new and emerging treatment strategies and classify and implement appropriate treatment modalities in a limited resource setting.

Tuition for this conference is $350. Tuition includes a flash drive with all program materials and educational lectures and a welcoming reception. Tuition will be refunded before the start of the program prior to April 1, 2015 (less a $50 administrative fee). If you must cancel after April 1, up to 50 percent of the registration fee can be charged.
