Sponsored by the Orthopedic and Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency programs at A.T. Still University in conjunction with the Physical Therapy Department in the Arizona School of Health Sciences. The Orthopedic and Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency programs are accredited by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency & Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE).

Course Times:
Friday 4/9: 8-5pm (AZ Time)
Saturday 4/10: 8-5pm (AZ Time)
Course Description: This program is designed primarily for people interested in or involved with clinical education (clinical instructors [CIs], Site Coordinator of Clinical Education [SCCEs], Director of Clinical Education [DCEs]) and is recognized by APTA as a Clinical Instructor (CI) Education and Credentialing Program.
Course Objectives:
1. Preparing for physical therapy students during their clinical education experiences
2. Developing learning experiences
3. Supporting ongoing learning through questioning and effective feedback
4. Developing skills of performance evaluation
5. Identifying and managing students with exceptional situations
6. Identifying legal implications for clinical educators, including issues presented by ADA legislation
CEU: Participants are awarded 1.5 CEUs or 15 contact hours at the end of the course.
FIRM REGISTRATION DEADLINE: March 5, 2021
ATSU Physical Therapy Department is qualified to provide physical therapist continuing education courses and activities according to the Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy (Rule R4-24-402).
CEU courses and other post-professional programs offered at ATSU are not associated with the CAPTE accredited residential Doctor of Physical Therapy program
